SERIAL TITLES This gives the title and code for every periodical title of which we have at least some issues. Few are held complete: for details ask the Library.

MUSIC OF ALAN RIDOUT Ridout, the composer, was an Oblate of the Abbey, and left us most of his manuscripts. The list given is complete, but we do not possess every item, nor some of the rights: details from the Archivist.

LATELY DEAD This list gives the names of those recently dead, whom the Abbey has included in the Community's prayers. Note that we sometimes only know the name and the fact, not even the date.

RAINFALL AT AMPLEFORTH Records of rainfall were kept for much of the twentieth century, and we have recently resumed (in an amateur way) to help, perhaps, future engineers looking at the stability of our site.

ROMAN DOCUMENTS To return from this page, you will need to use your Browser's BACK button or arrow. Between 1619 and 1900 Rome intervened in EBC affairs several times. The documents not only illuminate the story of the monasteries, but also show how Rome can provide a unique service of patience, understanding and support.

STUDENTS BEFORE 1900 The Student lists before 1865 are derived literally from contemporary memories. After that there is some written record, but it is not likely to be much fuller or more reliable.
